So, after much frustration, I am attempting this again. We loved GLacier...after 2 more days there, those deer were nothing!! the next day, we hiked through some snow (yep, snow and shorts together!) and made it to a great spot where there were mountain goats all over the trail. They would come right to the edge and then cross over the trail regardless of where you were. It was really exciting. We then dsaw some big horn sheep across the road. We also saw marmots and chipmunks and ground squirrels CONSTANTLY...in fact, I was taking a photo and one was so close I almost stepped on it!
On the last day, Andrew, Ally and Rob did some fishing and then we hiked around a different area. We didn't see too much, but did see some glaciers. I asked one of the rangers to recommend a good, quick trail, since we had already walked about 5 miles. He showed me a mile long trail and said, "go down by the lake and you will have a chance to see a moose." Well, since we had been warned about bears the whole time and saw none, I thought the chance was pretty slim. But sure enough, right in the middle of the lake, there was a moose, just hanging out! We got a bunch of pictures and he just contninued to stay there. We thought it was a great way to end the stay at Glacier!
