Here we are: the Grand Canyon!!! The only word that can describe it is: unbelievable! We have seen pictures before and posted pictures here, but nothing can capture the actual sight of it.
On our first day here, we walked along the rim...it is so vast and so deep.
On our second day, we hiked down into the canyon. The view looking back up...amazing.
Last night we went back to the canyon at night to see the sunset and watch the stars come out. There were so many!!
We have seen a ton of wildlife, elks, lizards, squirrels, a mouse, ravens.

What beautiful pictures! Can't wait to see the rest when you get home...or whenever since everything is computerized. Was it exceptionally hot? How long did you walk around down inside the CAnyon? How did you get down there? Are you staying at a lodge inside the park? Was it a long wait to get into the park? Nana

Great, great pictures. People have no idea how beautiful it is until you see it in person. Keep your eyes open for cowboys driving the herd. When we visited the Grand Canyon, we were coming around a curve, and 'lo and behold there were real cowboys driving the cattle. Unfortunately, there was nowhere for us to stop to take pictures since everyone else had done so. What a great trip you are having.
