So we were not able to get any internet access at our last campsite and tonight we can't get pictures to post but I'll try to write about what we did the past 2 days. We are currently in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. It is our last day in Canada. WE left niagara Falls early yesterday morning. On our way to Killbear Provincial Park, we stopped in Barrie at a place called Treetop Trekkin. We had a great time!! Basically, it is obstacle course up in trees. You can be as high as 60 feet up! Ally and Rob did the kids course and Ally also did the "Tree Hugging" (climbing trees up to about 50 feet!) Andrew and I did 4 adult course and the Big Zip (a zipline). There are platforms in the trees you climb up to and then have a variety of things to do like walking tightrope, walking over wobbly, wodden bridges, etc. We all loved it and Ally is already asking of there is something like it back home!
After we finished, we continued on to Killbear. On the way, we kept seeing these rock scultpures on top tall rocks on the side of the road. We kept busy looking for them. Some looked like people, others like tables. We found out lagter they are called inukshuks. They were originally made by the Inuits as marking, or warnings but now people leave them as kind of "I was here". We got in around 9 so we just had a quick bite by the campfire and then turned in.
The next morning we went hiking at Killbear. Killbear is located right on the Georgian Bay and it was really beautiful. We did a bit of swimming and lots of climbing on and over rocks. After lunch, we moved on to our current stop. Tomorrow, we will cross back into the US and will hopefully end up in Wisconsin. I'll try and post pictures tomorrow!
